Dr. Lexi Saunders is an Internal Medicine physician and the newest member of the Delaware medical community. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, scoring within the top 95th percentile of all examinees nationally. Dr. Saunders graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Art History, where she was the recipient of the Senior Thesis Award and a four-year varsity women’s squash player. She then completed her medical prerequisites at The University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from Temple University. Dr. Saunders completed her Internal Medicine residency training at Main Line Health’s Lankenau Hospital and was recognized as the Best Teaching Resident upon graduation.
Dr. Saunders is also a proud graduate of Tower Hill School and is excited to be returning to her hometown to practice internal medicine alongside her Dad. She lives in Wilmington with her husband, Trip Ashley, and their son.

Dr. Christopher Saunders is an expert in the field of cosmetic surgery. He is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, graduating cum laude and AOA honor society. Dr. Saunders completed his residency, plastic surgery and endoscopic fellowship at the renowned University of California, Davis Medical Center. He has numerous international and national publications, including three books on cosmetic plastic surgery.
Dr. Saunders practices exclusively cosmetic surgery and has done over 35,000 surgeries and procedures during his career. He has received over 50 awards, including Top Doc, Best Plastic Surgeon, and Best Cosmetic Surgeon. He grew up in Wilmington and graduated cum laude from Tower Hill School. Dr. Saunders’ father, David, was the first board certified plastic surgeon in Delaware and his brother, Dr. Jonathan Saunders, is also a local plastic surgeon.
Chris is proud to announce that his daughter, Lexi, is joining the practice, which has been renamed to SAUNDERS MEDICINE. She is the seventh Saunders family member to be a physician and we are extremely proud to welcome her to the community.
